VLS - Fire Escape

Inspiration time over at Vera Lane Studio.

I have made a mini Art Journal page with one of the Mr and Mrs Bloom's from the Fire Escape Flowers set.

I used the Blue Red couple and coloured their faces and petals (red) with my copic markers.
My art page is a leftovers page - this is where I use the blank page to stamp off, pick up leftover paints, etc and then use for a later project.
SO this one is very mixed media with Distress spray, transparent and white medium gels, ink refills, washi tape, and stamped image direct on page.
I had fun compiling this one, hope you like it.

VLS - Dilly Days

Time for CAS Tuesday Inspiration over at Vera Lane Studio.

My card this week is using the new release Dilly Days.

This week I thought we could use a coloured card base by using the pink tone of her dress.
I also used one of my Project Life cards as my background and popped her up on foam dots.
I've coloured her with copic markers and gel pens for highlights and used Dilly #3 for this one.
Hard to tell, but I put glossy accents on her eyelids to make them pop a bit.
I thought she had that dreaming of being......look about her.
I really like how this turned out and it was very simple and quick to make.

I am entering her in the following Challenges:

Pigs can fly

Challenge time again over at SheepSki Designs Facebook Page and this month our optional theme is Wings.

I've used Pigs can Fly and popped him on this weeks Planner layout.

Coloured with copic markers and background is water based inks.
My saying is using Tim Holtz Clipping Stickers.
Such a fun image but I just wasn't sure where I was going with him.
I added a thin strip of washi tape on the bottom to add a little something.

VLS -Bird Houses

Inspiration time over at Vera Lane Studio.

I created another Art Journal page using Bird House and flying hearts from the Love Collage Sheet.

I've coloured the images with copic markers and gel pens for highlights.
My background is one of my Gel plate prints (need to create some more) that I added some stamping to for added interest.
I think the two flying hearts work well with this page.

VLS - Princess

Inspiration time over at Vera Lane Studio.

I have decorated my planner this week using Princess and her saying.

I used the black & white image and coloured with copic markers, glitter gel pen and white gel pen for highlights.
Added some washi tape for interest!
You could just as easily printed off the pre-coloured image and use her too for an even faster way to brighten your planner pages.

VLS - Just Fly

It's time for CAS Tuesday over at Vera Lane Studio.

This week I am using Wink from Just Fly.

I've coloured here with copic markers and gel pens for highlights.
I know you can't see it, but I added Glossy Accents to her eyes so they pop a bit more in real life.
I also printed the saying directly onto the card base.
I cut a decorative oval die cut out to use as a frame for my saying, and popped it up on some foam dots.
Also popped Wink up on some foam dots as well.
How cute is she!

Zodiac sign Scorpio

It's my time to inspire you with my Goha Digital Stamps project for this month.

This time I have made a card using Zodiac sign Scorpio.

I coloured her up with my copic markers and used a glitter gel pen for her Scorpio symbol.
I also used my copic markers on the chipboard saying (from Make it Crafty) and then went over the top layer and an outline of the bottom layer using my Clear Wink of Stella brush to add some sparkle.
A clean and simple style of the image on a white background die cut and then layered on another black die cut before putting on my card base.

VLS - Beach Club

Inspiration time over at Vera Lane Studio.

I have used Darla from the Beach Club to brighten up this weeks Planner layout.

I've coloured her with copic markers and white gel pen for highlights.
LOL, I may have over done the white gel pen just a bit but it adds to her sassy outlook!
A few pieces of washi tape to ground her and we are ready to tackle the new week!

You may have noticed when I show you my mini planner, that it is always this bottom right hand side that I have played with. That is because this side has the Notes panel which I don't use, and also because I like leaving the white space in the rest of the two pages given that it is a small planner.
Less is best a lot of the time.

VLS - Succulents

Inspiration time over at Vera Lane Studio.

I made an Art Journal page this week using the New Release set Succulents and elements from the Fun Collage Sheet No.3

I've coloured them with copic markers and gel pens for highlights.
I also used one of the fairies and cloud from the Fun Collage Sheet No.3 .
My background is one of my Gel plate prints that I then used the ink string technique with to get the lovely black tulip like images on.

VLS - Succulents

It's time for CAS Tuesday over at Vera Lane Studio.

This week I am using the New Release set Succulents for my CAS card.

With 9 different images and 3 sentiments it was hard to pick just one of each to use!
I ended up using the Barrel Cactus.
I've coloured it with copic markers and gel pens for highlights.
I again printed my sentiment directly onto my card base and popped my cactus up on a couple of foam dots.
A few lines added with my black gel pen and I think it makes a fab card.

I am entering it in the following Challenges:
