Thanks Flower Card

Here is a CASE card that I recreated from the Stampin' Up! June E-Newsletter.
I was having a look through the site to see if I could use SU Newsletter templates to freshen up my own and WOW,  this was the card they were showcasing.

Stamp set used is the Level 1 Hostess Set, Afterthoughts. Flowers are made using the Boho Blossoms Punch and brads.
Such a lovely bright card that anyone would love to receive!

If you don't currently receive my Newsletter and would like to, please send me an email and I will add you to my list.

If you wish to contact me, you can email me at craftfusion@live.com.au to place an order, or ask about becoming a part of my Stampin' Up! family - I'd love to welcome you into my team.

CA Monday Night Class

Monday Night class again. I was able to attend this weeks class and wow, what a class.
Jane taught us how to make Spinner Cards.

Being that we are given a list of supplies needed for the class and nothing else, it is with that in mind that I am happy to say that I actually got my card made with what I started with.

I was completely baffled at what to use as a spinner, and both sayings are the word HELLO. The second one is under the cage - idea is you slide it across, but it also spins around as well.
I did put out the call for help in the chat room ....LOL....When I said I had the worst DSP for the project and said what I was using,  Helen agreed with me and told me she had never liked it herself.....LOL, thanks for the support! Never the less, I did persevere and must say I think it turned out ok. Am I right???

Now, if you ever thought we did know what it was we were making before hand - you now know that we don't....LOL......bring on the next class and all the love and laughs......

1st Anniversary with SU !!!

OMG - I knew I signed up in June last year as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, but, I truly couldn't remember the date. I looked it up tonight and couldn't believe it had come and gone already.
June the 13th ...... With a date of the 13th you would think that I would remember it easily wouldn't you. Geez, where on earth has all that time gone !!!!!

So to celebrate (all be it a little late),  I have made up a couple of Stampin' Up! Shopping Bags including some Goodies from Convention,  for the next 2 ladies who decide to sign up as a Demonstrator with me.

Why 2 ???
Well, one to celebrate my first year (Yay) and one to celebrate my second year and hoping it is even better than the first.
I have met some truly remarkable and talented ladies in my first year and have formed some great friendships both in real life and online.

And, if you don't wish to become a Demonstrator, but wish to place an order, I am offering FREE postage on orders over $ 120.00 from now until the end of July.

If you want to sign up under myself, just click Here and click on Start Your Own Business, and then Join Now and follow the prompts.
Remember that now you no longer need an ABN to join up, so just leave that blank (as I don't think the form as been updated yet).

Any problems or questions, just give me a call or send me an email.

If you wish to contact me, you can email me at craftfusion@live.com.au to place an order, or ask about becoming a part of my Stampin' Up! family - I'd love to welcome you into my team.

AFL Owl Birthday Card

This is a CASE of the card I swapped with Margaret Knoops at Convention.......what a perfect card for a male......in fact, this is for my Fathers Birthday next month - hence the two QLD teams.

Hehehehe, my guess is both of those teams were wishing big at seasons beginning........always next year !!!!
The sentiment is from Word Play stamp set.

I love these owls and have been making a heap for the Twlight Markets our school is having in August.
I will post a picture closer to the time of them all.

If you'd like this card to be your next Make & Take, let me know when you book a workshop and we can replicate it with your favourite team colours.

If you wish to contact me, you can email me at craftfusion@live.com.au to place an order, or ask about becoming a part of my Stampin' Up! family - I'd love to welcome you into my team.

Double Easel Card

I missed Monday night's Online Class at Crafters Anonymous.
The ladies had a guest teacher in Sharon and were shown how to make this gorgeous Double Easel Card.
I know it's made from a piece of 8 x 8 cardstock, so I gave it a go from there.

Here is my take on it using the Greenhouse Gala DSP.
The Daffodil Delight and Real Red Cardstock really make this DSP pop out! and the Friends Never Fade stamp set co-ordinates with this DSP perfectly.

Bettie's Swap

I finally got Bettie's card made - I'm really happy with how it all turned out and hope that Bettie loves it.

I put Lindt Chocolate Balls in the Pillowbox bag.
I think the colour combo for the card is perfect as the Whisper White really gives it a fresh crisp look.

Have I mentioned lately that I love Concord Crush??? LOL, hope Bettie does too!
I am certainly having some fun with the Extreme Elements stamp set too.

Laura's Introduction Page

It's really not long now until we get our Retiring List from Stampin Up telling us what is retiring - never to be seen again.....one thing we do know for sure, is that every year we change our DSP's.

With that in mind, and the fact that I have not done too much Scrapbooking, however, I am doing more, I decided now was a great time to show you a page I did using both the Nursery Suite and Sweet and Sour Speciality DSP's.

Now that takes me back ....LOL... my baby girl is now 10 years old!!!

This Nursery pack has the Pink Round Doily type cardstock, but also a Square Blue one for the boys (yes, another page I will have to do to show you - and that baby boy is now 13 !!!)

I was at a bit of a loss with the roundness of this cardstock as I am still a beginner when it comes to Scrap Pages.....so I decided to use the Sweet and Sour Dsp and weave the pieces as a matt for the picture.

I think it turned out quite nice and is another technique you can easily use when you have scraps of DSP laying around.

So you still have a few months (but they will fly by) to get these goregous DSP sets for your own projects.

I'm not sure why this won't centre on the page, but if you click on the pic, it will open in a new box and show you both sets.

Don't have your own Stampin' Up! Demonstrator to purchase from?
I'd love to welcome you as a customer, remember, I can ship direct to anywhere in Australia.

USWDAF Friend To Friend Swap

It's that time again with the latest round of U Stamp with Dawn and Friends.

I just love participating in the Friend to Friend Swap and can't wait to see if my Swap friend likes my card and gift....

Sorry about the quality of the second photo. I wanted to show you that it wasn't a standard opening card.
I used some DSP to wrap around the chocolates and put the "So much Chocolate So Little Time" sentiment on it.
I just love Concord Crush and Real Red together - so glad we keep our In Colors for 2 years !!!

I haven't forgotten Bettie's other swap gift either - just have to make her card and then it's off to the postie for both of these for their trip to America. Just wish I could hand deliver them......☺ one day...

May Scrap Page

I have been a bit slack of late .... so thought I'd better get my May Scrap Page done for my 12 Months of the Year over at Crafters Anonymous.

Laura had her BIG NIGHT last month - yes, the Australian Youth Choir Concert!!!!
I must say I was amazed by how well the night went and honestly, you would have thought this group had been singing together for years.

I really loved that our Level One kids (Laura included) sang the final two songs in the aisles - those songs were Do-Ra-Me, and Goodnight Sweetheart.

This stamp set is from the current mini and is called Thanks For Caring.
I have used some of the Brights colours to have an uplifting effect, and some of the gorgeous butterflies using the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die and Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die.. Final touch of Pearls and Rhinestones.

This one has been bought and given already, and I truly hope the recipient got a bit of comfort from it.I just love how the butterflies seem to just float......lovely!

Let me know if there is a Stamp Set you'd like to see some samples of and I will try to come up with some inspiring projects for you.

USWDAF Blog Hop Creative Challenge

Here's my entry in the latest round of U Stamp with Dawn and Friends.

We could do whatever we wanted and were to take the banner which you can see to the left of my blog, and use that as inspiration to create something in 24 hours.....probably didn't help that I went off to the Papercraft Expo and came home buggered.....Anyway, here's my entry:

Must say I am quite proud of my mask - I made that using the wings from the Two-Step Owl punch and the eyes by using the Crop-a-dile.  The handle is a piece of grosgrain ribbon folded on itself and frayed at the end. I should have threaded some gold thread through the banner.

Crafters Anonymous Monday Night Class

Well, let me tell you about last night's class .... We made the best box for putting cards in, and we also attempted to make a bow to go on it.

Not too difficult, right?  OMG......I am still trying to get my head around the last part of that bow.
For the ladies who managed to achieve it last night in our hour class - you girls absolutely rock!!!

Me, well I tried my best.....LOL...it actually isn't too bad and if you hadn't seen the right one, my guess is you wouldn't know how bad I am .....but hey, now I have something to practise!!!

Papercraft Expo

Had a great time at the Papercraft Expo in Brisbane today.....Must say there wasn't as many stands as I'm used to, but can only guess it's a sign of the financial times we are all faced with at the moment.

Having said that, I still managed to buy more that I had planned, but all were must have buys...LOL

It was first year that I actually attended a class - why I have never attended one before I am not really sure, but I loved the class I did and will be using this technique more - once I get the paint.

The class I took was Gesso Paint Technique, which had the added bonus of Stampin' Up! sponsoring it which means not only did I get some more stamps sets, ink pads, etc, but if you would like to learn this or recreate it, I can show you how to do and if you need anything (except the paint) I can get that for you.

12 Days of Winter - Day 12

The very last day of our Winter swap ........hasn't it just been exciting!!!!!
I would like to say a huge thank you to Anne for being my swap sister.......hope we get to do it more often!!!

Here is my very last pressie from Anne
Lavender Bath Salts....hmmmmmmm I love that scent.
Just perfect for a hot bath in winter.

Here is my very last pressie to Anne

I thought the flower from some of last years retired DSP
would make a great broach, so proceeded to make one
and then design a nice presentation box to put it in.

I have enjoyed this swap sooooo much. I was a bit nervous at first as it is the first time I have done this concept, and let's face it, we all think our projects and efforts are not as stunning as the next person.
But the whole idea of a swap like this is the thought and effort put in it, not who made or gave the best gifts.
I have enjoyed the whole 12 days and the showing of photo's, inspiration from everyone and best of all, the friendships made - now that is what a swap is all about.

I can not wait until the next one comes around.

So now to cheer myself up, I'm off to the Papercraft Expo here in Brisbane.....better buy myself some gifts for next week !!!! LOL....

It is hard to tell, but Anne has got Dazzling Diamonds all over this hand stamped candle.

I haven't got this stamp set (yet!), but Anne has used it to perfection
and I am starting to ask myself why I haven't got it....LOL

Here is my Day 11 pressie to Anne
Only a small pressie, but aren't those glittery brads very sparkly!!!!!
Hope Anne likes the selection.

Here is my Day 10  pressie from Anne

How clever is this card holder !!!!! it has a pull out draw to hold stamps, etc.
Anne has even included co-ordinated sentiments to add to the cards.

Here is my Day 10 pressie to Anne

I had the same idea as Anne, only I made a simple folder with two cards and envelopes.

Only two days left.......tomorrow see's us with something SPARKLY........
