USWDAF Card Swap

So another round of USWDAF is almost over - I really enjoy these groups as you get to learn how to make so many new projects with added tips along the way.

You would know that I always participate in the Friend to Friend Swap - which I have again, but I also decided to do the Card Swap for the first time. I am soooo nervous as we have to create 6 cards (inside and out) with co-ordinating envelopes.
Here's what I came up with and I really hope they like it - the theme is the Holidays.

I had fun with my Gold Embossing Powder and Heat Gun.......
You have seen the dress on the last two Wedding Cards I did, and I must say it is just as stunning in Embossed Gold.
Inside I used the bubbles from the Circle Circus Stamp Set - awesome effect.

It is the first time I have used More Mustard on a card, or anything for that matter as it's not a colour I really like. I must say however, that it goes very well with this card.
Lets hope the 6 lovely ladies who receive it think so too.

Mini Gift Box

I am so glad I was able to make the Online Class at Crafters Anonymous tonight.
Anne taught us all how to make this adorable mini gift box and flower.....awesome size and I can see me making more of these.

I used the new In Colors, yes, I know - I have finally succumbed to spelling it the US way!!
I have been asked why I sometimes spell it wrong on my least some people still know how to spell right.....hehehe.

Anyways, I have used Wisteria Wonder and Island Indigo and love this combination alot !!

That's the new Timeless Portrait DSP as well. Don't you just love that everything co-ordinates so well.
Now for the not so well co-ordinated button - that's from the Summer Mini, Sweet Stitches Designer Buttons pack. I must confess I have most of the button packs and rarely use them - must be the growing up with older brothers only saga.....story for another day.

I hope you like the mini gift box and the gorgeous new colours!

Pyramid Christmas Cards

I have seen a lot of these Pyramid cards popping up on blogs lately that I decided to give them a go myself.

How cool are they !!!

I used NEW with OLD. The stamp sets are new Tags til Christmas and Beautiful Season, which means in 2 days time (Wednesday) you can buy them, however, the DSP is Jolly Holiday and that means you have today and tomorrow to place your order with me or miss out.......yes, two days of the 2010-2011 Catalogue and then out with the old and in with the new.......

Don't forget, click on the Retired List (top Right) to see if you are already too late :-(   hope you're not !!

School's first Twlight Market

What a horrid day to have our school's first Twlight Market.......with rain and drizzle all day and night, it's a wonder as many people turned out as they did. It really was a good turn out and I'm sure the school raised a decent amount for the school's resources.

Here's me and my table, Vanessa had her table opposite mine so we were able to stand in the middle and chat the night away.

Lets hope the next one is on a lovely sunny day - don't you just love the weather !!!!

Phone Message Pads

You may recall that way back in May (seems so long ago) I showed you the lovely Roomie Gifts I got at Convention....well taking Jenny's idea, I decided to make some in a more masculine way for my Market Stall tomorrow...

And then of course, decided on one for the ladies as well....

I am so loving that flower from Creative Elements - which if you know me well is a huge call as I'm not really a flower person....

If you could only buy one set from the new catalogue, you would not be disappointed with this one.

Sneak Peak - Wisteria Wonder Wedding Card

So here is another of the fabulous "Leaf Dress" Wedding Cards.

This time in another new In Color called Wisteria Wonder...

Using the Ovals Bigz Die. I know, the ovals aren't quite right, but at least they match....LOL....maybe next time I will cut them freehand.

Iris Fold Vase card

Bev taught her first Online Class for us at Crafters Anonymous tonight.
What a truly amazing class - I must say that I would not have attempted this otherwise.

In typical me fashion, I did my vase horizontally, unlike everyone else (remember we don't know what we are making or how it will end up), so I did not have room for flowers.....I kinda like the look .... just add a straw and I have a cocktail glass....hahaha.....anyway, what do you think of the new In Color Calypso Coral? must say I'm not a fan, but this card has turned out as a lovely bright Spring card so am happy with that.

Coffee Cup Gift Cards

Our School Twlight Market is on this Saturday - it seems like forever since I put my name down for the stall.....

I have posted most of what I have made for it as I have been going along as it pretty much is taking up a lot of my crafting time!!!!! with a few other projects as well.

How cool are these Coffee Cup Gift Cards.......

 These are for the ladies......
These ones for the men...perfect for Fathers Day....

They do look a lot nicer in real life......

Lorri Heiling from the US did a video Tutorial for this and you can find it here on her blog so you can make them yourself.

One of the new In Colors is called Island Indigo and here's a Wedding Card to showcase it

A close up of the dress....

I CASED this dress off Sharon Field who is a very Talented Demo in the States.

It is also a Sneak Peak of the new stamp set Build A Blossom. Bet you never thought of making those leaves into a dress did you....I know I didn't, but isn't it just gorgeous!!!!

I have another couple of versions for later posts as I just couldn't stop at one......

Gift for a Friend

What do you give a friend who is also a Stampin' Up! demo for their birthday?????
My answer is hopefully something they haven't stumbled across themselves already and made........... so here is what I made my CA buddy Theresa for her birthday on Tuesday (it's ok, she emailed to say she got it).

How cool is that ....... mine is still in the cut out ready to assembly stage!!!
This was created by the very talented Nancy Horn as one of the UStamp with Dawn and Friends -  Blog Hop Tutorials.

Here's my attempt at a matching card.......

I really wish I could master the art of colouring in and blending.......something for me to work on more.

Lace Ribbon Border Bookmark

This is a very easy and inexpensive gift to make and keep or give to a friend just to say hi! Or like me, give it as a thank you with a customer order - it's the little unexpected things that can really make someones day.

I have used some DSP from the current mini, Jolly Holiday (on retired list at $10.17 which is 40% off) and some retired ribbon. The main focal point of this bookmark is the Very Vanilla strip of cardstock punched out using the new gorgeous Ribbon Lace Border Punch. I can see a lot of paper craft projects using this punch.
A definite must have to put on your wish list for sure.

Another Sneak Peak - Ready for Christmas???

I thought I'd have a play with one of the new Christmas Stamp Sets called Tags til Christmas.
I loved how the Candle Gift Box we created on CA turned out as a great Tea Caddy, so made another one in Christmas Colours.

I was totally bummed when I saw that Sparkly and Bright was being retired after only one year, but happy that the Sparkling Jumbo Wheel stayed. I have used it on the sides of this box to give a Christmas feel and the tags are from the new set Tags til Christmas.

What a great inexpensive gift to give a teacher or work colleague.

Special CA Birthday Online Class

Crafters Anonymous is 1 - Yay, special Online Class held by Bek.
Although I was late for it ( totally forgot and had my phone on charge so missed the emails !!!), Bek was kind enough to give me a few tips so I could still create it. Of course I could have waited until later today to get the tutorial, but I like the class type environment as it's just like sitting down with friends.

How cool is this 3 Tier Gift Box !!!!!!!
I know I'd love to get that from a Secret Santa or just a nice kind, thoughtful friend..

And now for the scoop!!!
The stamps used are from another new set Pennant Parade and great new co-ordinating punch too.
And how good does Lucky Limeade look with Cherry Cobbler.....we have 4 more new In Colours to go with this one, if I can stop playing with Lucky Lime (my name for it....) I will try to show you same samples.

Explosion Gift Bags

My Aunt loved her bag so much, that she asked I make her 2 - one purple for another birthday, and one red for Christmas.
Small tags using stamps from Teeny Tiny Sentiments, and gorgeous flower stamp from current Hostess Set Cute By The Inch.
I love this red one - who wouldn't love that under their Christmas tree !!!
I told you I would be using this stamp again, put it on your wish list now - Beautiful Season.
Isn't it funny how you buy a set for a particular stamp, and then bugger me, it's one of the others you use more. I bought this set for the wordings and have not touched them yet!

AFL Owl Bookmark Skinny Tubes

How cute are these little guys .......... I took Maragret Knoops AFL Owls and turned them into Bookmark Skinny Tubes for my stall at my Daughters upcoming Twlight Markets.

I know, I did my best to colour code without having to buy 100 packets of Jelly Beans!!!

Don't they just look good enough to eat !!!!!! My idea behind it is that kids buy them for dad for Father's Day, and dad (or child) can open the bottom flap to release the jelly beans, then reseal and dad has a great bookmark!!! I'll let you know how they go.

Book Box

Debi taught us how to make this cool Book Box in tonight's Online Class at Crafters Anonymous.

Such a great little box and as some of the ladies recreated theirs with Masculine style stamps, a great gift idea for Fathers Day too.

I just love the flower in this set, as you would know because I have used it afew times since we got it at Convention - not long now and you can order your set too.....

And I was only kidding when I told Theresa tonight during class it was her Birthday present.....hehehe, I love it and it will be going on my Sample display board.

Keep guessing T ;-}

Another Monster High Birthday Card.

This time in my favourite colour Concord Crush.

And with a Basic Black background. I am having so much fun playing with Basic Black, doesn't it just change the whole outlook of the card.

Sneak Peak

Something For Christmas is a new A la Carte Stamp coming - no excuse not to own this one as there are so many things you can do with it.
I have used the new In Colour markers on the baubles and only used half of the

The sentiment is in Rich Razzleberry, as is the cardstock and I have used the new In Colour of Lucky Limeade.

What a great combination.....if you liked Kiwi Kiss, then I am sure you will love Lucky Limeade.
I can honestly see me using this for Christmas already....LOL.....another colour I was not rapped in when I saw them at Convention, but they are so much nicer when you see them in an A4 size rather then a 2" size.
