Well Worn Mini Scrapbook Album

I decided that I really should make some of the awesome projects that I have from some of the recent U Stamp with Dawn and Friends groups. I have heaps and heaps of awesome projects to make and share with you.

I will try to make at least one a month and share with you........

This one is the Thanksgiving Mini Scrapbook by Twila Davis - USWDAF - I ♥ the Holidays 2011 .....amazing projects that you should check out for yourselves!

  • Stamp Set: Daring Adventure
  • Inks: Not Quite Navy, Cajun Craze
  • Papers: Note Quite Navy, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, River Rock, Well Worn DSP
  • Punches: Decorative Label, Rounded Tab, Lace Ribbon Border, Boho Blossoms
  • Others: Gold Brads, Regal Brads, 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon Night Of Navy (retired), Springtime Vintage Designer Buttons
Twila had a flower on the front of her, but as I was going for a masculine look, I substituted it for a Rosette....I know, not much difference, but hubby gave it his approval so I guess it passes on some level.

I think this would make an awesome class, and I so love the Well Worn DSP for the males in our lives.

Until next time, Happy Crafting....YCB

Two Tags Rudolph Treat Holder

I missed the CA Online class tonight but did manage to start on an order I have for these gorgeous Rudolph Treat Holders. How cute are these guys......even better for the Cherry Ripe inside the folder.....hehehe, you will have to trust me - it is there.......

I was inspired to make these using Anna Wheaton's Rudolph (with glimmer nose!!!) and Becky Roberts folder.
Not sure how Becky did her's, but I put a mountain fold in mine and popped through the Shottie on the fold line so no gluing....magic! And I could not resist putting the wobble eyes on him.....awhhhhhh, he is just adorable !!!!

Guess what my customers will get with their December orders ???

Oh my goodness ..... it's being to feel a lot like Christmas !!!!!

LNS Challenge 148 - Monster High Christmas

I only just made my card in time for this week's challenge ....... Non Traditional Christmas ..... now I would think that Basic Black and Elegant Eggplant would fit that bill perfectly....

As you may all realise, my daughter is a HUGE Monster High fan, and as such most if not all of her presents for Christmas are something to do with Monster High, naturally !!!

I have been trying to work out a Monster High card for her for Christmas  and here it is......

  • Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Sentiments
  • Inks: Elegant Eggplant
  • Papers: Basic Black, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White
  • Dies: Timeless Type Junior Alphabet, Petal Cone
  • Punches: Modern Label, Word Window
  • Others: Glimmer Brads In Colors, Non SU Embossing Folder
I love it... I reckon you could easily make this for a Harry Potter or Twlight fan too...

SQSC # 14

Better latish than never hey!!!!

This week's sketch is:

And here's my take on it this week:

  • Stamp Set: Morning Cup
  • Ink: Marina Mist
  • Papers: Pink Pirouette, Marina Mist, Early Espresso, First Edition Speciality DSP
  • Punches: 1 1/4" Square, Modern Label
  • Others: 1/" Chantilly Ribbon, Cutter Kit, Mini Glue Dots
I had started out with these colours for the LNS Challenge which was non-traditional Christmas colours and it was going to be for both Challenges.......but........after my Christmas Card Class yesterday I was feeling a little bit over Christmas and in need of a good cuppa.....hence the Morning Cup stamp set making an appearance!

The class was fabulous and I think the eight ladies had a great time and I feel sure they will all be making more Gift Card Folders in their own homes.....

Julia Leece taught us how to create the Cupcake Stand.....LOL.....mine is abit wonky so I reinforced two of the legs to stabilise it abit better.....

Ok, so not the prettiest table going, but I kinda like it's quirkiness !!!!!

Thinking maybe change the label to "Queen for a Day !!!"

Cheerful Handbag

Well Summer has arrived.......OMG how hot have the last few days been in South East Queensland...the records are again being rewritten....let's hope we don't get the rains like last year!!!!!

Here is a quick little Handbag to make by using a piece of Cheerful Treat (Hostess) DSP and the Scallop Envelope Die, you can create these gorgeous little Handbags and put some tags or 3x3 Notecards in them.

Perfect as a Thank You, Teachers gift or just a "Know that I Care" statement.

Hehehe, note to self, next time line up the lines so they are a bit straighter!

Christmas Gift Bags

Ok, so tonight was CA Monday Online Class - they made an awesome Star Album - I say they as I was unable to make tonight's class, but intend to give the album a go at a later date.

I did however get some Gift Bags made that my Aunt has asked for so I can cross that of my list. Yay, and yes, my list is actually getting smaller.

I have used some of my Non SU DSP as I thought it was just right as they are for Christmas Gifts - wonder if I will get one back with some chocies in it????? I think we all know the one I would pick....hehehe.

Here is the one I made with the new Hostess DSP that my Aunt saw and asked me to make 3 for her.

I really have to apologise to the Demo who I CASED these off because for the life of me I can not find where I wrote it down. When I do, I will post a link to her blog because they looked amazing. And I do think she is LNS member...hehehe 400 blogs later and I may just find it again.

If you'd like to know more, drop me a line and I'll be happy to answer your questions.

Jolly Holiday Christmas Tree

I told myself that I had to finish this Christmas Tree this weekend - well that or tidy up my studio.......hehehe, if you saw my craft area, you too would opt to finish the tree.

  • Papers: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Jolly Holiday DSP (retired), Glimmer Paper Silver & Red
  • Punches: Itty Bitty Shapes, Small Heart
  • Other: 1 1/4" Stripped Grosgrain Ribbon Riding Hood Red (retired), Wooden Christmas Tree (Non SU)
How awesome is the Glimmer Paper - not a hint of glitter anywhere and no sticky fingers....and got that star done in no time at all.....

Did you also notice how the cardstock matches perfectly to the DSP.....not a drop of paint on this baby - apart from the Tree, it's all Stampin' Up!
Now why wouldn't you buy our goregous products after seeing this.

Now for the next size up......or to finish the half started Gingerbread House.......or tidy the Studio......

Scallop Envelope Gift Tote

My workshop today was making Christmas Gift Boxes using the Scallop Envelope Die.
I CASED this Scallop Envelope Tote and instructions off Cristena as it was perfect for what the girls wanted their workshop to be.

Here are the two samples of the Gift Tote and Gift Tag we made.

 Here is our red one
 Here is our Wisteria Wonder

The ladies had a choice of 4 colours - Real Red, Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder and Baja Breeze.

All four colours were made and all gift boxes were awesome with a couple of ladies tweaking theirs by rounding the corners and adding more ribbon which made them that much more special.

I think the ladies all enjoyed themselves and learnt a trick or too.

SQSC #12

Another eventful week over......I haven't looked forward to it being a Friday for quite sometime.

Another awesome Sketch Challenge for Stampin Queen's this week.

Here's the Sketch:

Here's my card:

  • Others: Tangerine Tango & Wild Wasabi Embossing Powders
I just love how this card has turned out.........this card is just one big sneak peak again...yes, I have been playing with my new toys and am loving them.

You may be wondering what is from the Under The Big Top stamp set? well here I have to eat humble pie for the second year, as I did not like this stamp set when were told it would be the one we receive at Regionals.....the sentiment on this card is from under the elephant....dadada!!!! now we have 6 more sentiments that we can use....yay gotta like that.

And as for the dodgy ruffle, that is the left over strip you get when you die cut the Fancy Favor box - lets just say I thought it would be different, and I was right, it is...hehehe.
I will try to do better next time.

Love & Caring Bookmark

I seem to have been making a few Sympathy cards of late, so decided to do a bookmark as well for something different.

I had a play around with the new First Edition Speciality DSP and embossing.

Brisbane Regional Swaps

Guess what tomorrow is??????

Stampin' Up! Brisbane Regional's - and you know that means  - Swaps, meeting all the lovely ladies you have spent the last year chatting online with, who you have swapped gifts with in various swaps like 12 Days, Secret Sister, etc,etc.....can you tell I am exciting to be going again this year?

I made two different swaps - 4 of each 5 using 2011-2012 In Colors:
These guys have a Freddo Frog (Chocolate) inside of each one.....hmmmmm love chocolate.....

And 4 of each in 2010-2011 In Colors:

These fancy fold gift tags were inspired by Dawn Griffith, a very talented USA Demo - click here to check out her site.

I was clearly having a brain fade with these as after I was admiring my handy work - realised this is last years retired Hostess DSP - never mind, still current In Colors and they can easily be made using current DSP...

Ok - still plenty to do before tomorrow........
