12 Days of Winter

WOW, 12 Days of Winter Swap is about to begin ......... we've had our parcels in our possession for a few agonising weeks now.......kids keep you honest so you can't peek !!!!!

Anne hasn't even cracked the seal on her package - how's that for amazing will power!!!!

We get to open our gifts starting tomorrow ...... I thought I would show you what I made for my Swap Sister Anne, and also what Anne made for me......we had instructions on what the 12 days were to be: Day 1 is something to hang. The other rule we tried to follow is to have as much of it handmade that we could.

Here are the pressies that await Anne when she opens her box tomorrow:

Here are my pressie from Anne:

Anne also gave me a extra gift - a gorgeous Desk Calendar for next year !!

So come back tomorrow night to see what we made each other to HANG and cheer each other up for Winter !!!!

Australia's Biggest Morning Tea Event

Well, what a monumental crafting day - over at Crafters Anonymous, we had our Australia's Biggest Morning Tea event to raise money for Cancer, and enjoy crafting at the same time.

From 10.00am this morning, until 6.00pm tonight, we had 6 projects to complete.
The exciting part is that it was like our Monday Night Online classes - yes, apart from being told what supplies where needed, we found out as we went along what it actually was we were making.
Just like Monday nights, the banter was quite infectious at times - I love the chatter that goes on.

So I'm guessing you are wanting to see what I came up with???? LOL, if you just said NO.....go to the naughty corner and don't scroll down....LOL.

First up, Debi Ryan had us make a Teacup Easel Card

Then, Dee Sturgeon had us make a Coffee Wallet

Then, Jane McGlade Smith taught us the Cracked Glass Technique

Then, Julia Leece had us make a Punch Art Daffodil,

Then, Tia Routledge gave us a Sketch Challenge

Finished with Anne Brignall giving us a Colour Challenge

What an amazing day of craft. Must say I had an absolute ball and was a bit frazzled at the end, but so glad I stuck it out to the last one. It was great seeing what we all created with the same instructions - they were all so amazing and plenty of ideas now out there for us all to create.
You will not want to miss next years event!!!

If you wish to contact me, you can email me at craftfusion@live.com.au to place an order, or ask about becoming a part of my Stampin' Up! family - I'd love to welcome you into my team.

USWDAF Friend to Friend Swap

In an earlier post, I told you how I was participating in the Friend to Friend Swap on the USWDAF site and I showed you the card and 3D gift I had sent.

Well, I got my swap from Bettie in America yesterday, and OMG, how amazing is Bettie's work.
I must say I feel I got 3 people's swaps (and no, you are not having them). Bettie did join the other swap that was going and was generous enough to give me one of those too.....what a generous and thoughtful lady she is.

Here's what I received:
The inside of the card was almost like another card again, and the Accordion Album is amazing.

This Bettie's other swap card, and an extra gift for me.....that is a Hershey Bar in there, and yes, it tasted very nice at work for morning tea this morning. Again, her cards inside are as great as the cover.

I am in the middle of making Bettie a thank you gift as you can tell that I was indeed spoilt!

Wow, I am looking forward to the next swaps, what a wonderful experience they are, and in the process, we get to make some new friends!

If you wish to contact me, you can email me at craftfusion@live.com.au to place an order, or ask about becoming a part of my Stampin' Up! family - I'd love to welcome you into my team.

Even More Convention Swaps

So are you tired of seeing all the Convention Swaps yet?
Here are some of my favourite ones from the general swapping we did

Top left to right: Sorry, did put their name, Michelle Zahra , Lorinda de Regt-Penn, Margaret Knoops and Douglas Green.

Genelle Little, Sharlene Meyer, Vicki Were and Catherine Humphries.

It really is hard to pick a favourite, so I picked 9....LOL.....and believe me the others I received are just as fabulous too, but these were the ones that stood out for me.

Now I really shouldn't say I am lost for ideas should I !!!!

And the fun thing is we get to do it all again with our Brisbane Regionals being held in November.

If you wish to contact me, you can email me at craftfusion@live.com.au to place an order, or ask about becoming a part of my Stampin' Up! family - I'd love to welcome you into my team.

Shelli's Gift Box from Convention

I had a go at Shelli's Gift Box that she demonstrated to us at Convention.

I used different DSP and Stamp Set to Shelli, but love how it turned out.
I used the Love Letter DSP and Artistic Etchings Stamp Set.

The inside shows you that it is made by using the empty roll from your Mini Glue Dots.
Wow, no need to just toss them in the bin any longer.

If you wish to contact me, you can email me at craftfusion@live.com.au to place an order, or ask about becoming a part of my Stampin' Up! family - I'd love to welcome you into my team.

CA Monday Night Online Class

How awesome are these - tonight at our CA Monday Night Online Class, Lyn Fox showed us how to use all the brown packing paper we get in our orders from Stampin' Up!. We made two styles of paper bag.

This one is the flat base one - it has gusset sides. First time I've used this stamp set....it's the Aviary set from the last mini - certainly hope it makes a come back in the new catalogue.

This second bag has a base to it.....LOL....you can't tell but I had a massive Dory moment and ended up with one side being 6cm and the other 4cm.....The stamp is from Convention that we were able to purchase. It's called Love What You Do, and was actually the theme we had at convention. It also is the great song they had playing - very catchy and upbeat. How great is that Victoria Ribbon !!!
Another funny moment was when my son informed me that I had put it on "crooked and squished", to which I said, "No, I did that on purpose!".

USWDAF Friend to Friend Swap

As you can tell from the blinky to the left, I have participated in the Friend to Friend Swap on the USWDAF site.
I got to swap with Bettie in America, and she emailed me yesterday to say she received her parcel - even better, she liked it...big sigh of relief, cause you never know!!!

Doesn't the Early Espresso and Real Red pair up well, kinda makes you want to have some chocolate...or that could just be me...LOL.
Anyway, that's the card, and here's the 3D / Small Treat we had as the second part of the swap.

And of course I just had to put TIM TAMS in there. A taste of one of Australia's favourite biscuits!
I really did want to put a sentiment on it, but couldn't think of one to use, so I chose to leave it blank and let the Tim Tams shine.....LOL....ok, so I just left it blank and hoped she liked it anyway.
And Bettie did like it and said she was going to make some for her friends......very nice to know.

I should receive Bettie's swap next week, and will post a pic of them.

If you wish to contact me, you can email me at craftfusion@live.com.au to place an order, or ask about becoming a part of my Stampin' Up! family - I'd love to welcome you into my team.

SU Convention 2011 Roomie Gifts

Ok, so I showed you the lovely gifts I made for my roomies, so now I will show you the gorgeous gifts I got from them.
We all had a scarf waiting in our Room from our Team's leader Kim Gavarra, check out her post here.
Mine was actually hot pink which matched the inside of our convention bag nicely, and the ribbon broach was pink not red. Not sure why I didn't take a photo, but Kim let me copy the one off her blog.

Vanessa made us all a bucket (which I almost broke my fingers getting into...LOL). Well worth the effort though don't you think! Matching Notebook with pen, pillow box with chocolate and a gorgeous magnet. I loved it all. It is quite hard to tell, but the amount of sparkle on this is amazing. And there are 3 flowers on the outside of the tub.

Sam made us all an Altered Notebook - just lovely and that gold tassel page marker is divine.

How good does Jenny's cupcake look.....and how lucky was I that it not only is my favourite colour, but had chocolate in it.....LOL....I say had, cause I ate them all doing the ironing tonight - well you may as well enjoy something nice while you iron.Right? not only that, but a matching Message Pad Holder - yes, that's right, the perfect gift for your children to put by the phone!!!!!

Now, how good are they!!!!!! Don't you wish you were at Convention sharing our Room and being a part of our wonderful team?

If you wish to contact me, you can email me at craftfusion@live.com.au to place an order, or ask about becoming a part of my Stampin' Up! family and joining in on all the fun - I'd love to welcome you into my team.

SU Convention Pictures

I had a great time at Convention in Melbourne, but am so glad to be home out of the rain, cold, wind.....my god it was bitterly cold at times, and appeared that anytime we were stepping outside, it just had to rain.
I guess if I had not had the start of the flu, which developed quite nicely over the 5 days thanks, it would have been even more fun. I even got a new nickname (as did others) and started to live up to it quite well.....just call me Dory now!!
Shane, Vanessa and myself - Vanessa is both mine and Shane's Upline.
Doing swaps while we waited to register.

Lyn and myself after we had registered.
We just had to have a picture together showing our Crafters Anonymous Badges.

Lesley, Genelle and Jenny - all Inkcredible team mates, and Jenny and I Roomies.
We had shopped at Memento Mall and were waiting for the General Session to being.
Make and Takes - another highlight of Convention - must finish off the last one!
Myself, Trish, Martyn, Lesley and Chrissie.
Well done to Martyn too - he walked across the stage on Award Night.
Genelle and myself having a bit of fun - I told her you could always tell who held the camera - think I must be getting better as I think I've lost a few chins....
Lyn made the final 3 for the Minute to Win it - what an absolute fantastic experience for her, and I am sure she had as much fun as we did watching them.
I can tell you, I have never laughed so much in my life!!!

Next year's Convention is in Canberra and that means it will be colder again....brrrrrrrrr.
Don't you think it looked like a whole lot of fun?
Well you are right, it is an experience that you must do at least once......or every year would be just great too.

Want to join me in Canberra next year and get in on all the Roomie gifts and special swaps and team meets?
I would love to welcome you into my team, and now is a great time to join up and start realising that goal.
Or just host a workshop and I can share my experience and little tips I learnt from the great demonstrators who shared their projects and tips with us.

If you wish to contact me, you can email me at craftfusion@live.com.au to place an order, or ask about becoming a part of my Stampin' Up! family and start having fun - I'd love to welcome you into my team.

SU Convention Swaps

So here are the two swaps I made for the general sessions where we get to swap our creations with other Demo's from Australia and New Zealand.
I only made 20 of each design, but I know some who have made 100 and fellow demo Lyn and CA Member has made a whopping 400.....go Lyn !!!!

This one I used Pink Pirouette and Basic Grey Cardstock, Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and I recycled some soft drink cans to make the tag and one of the hearts. The Framed Tulips Embossing Folder used is still available in our Carryover Flyer if you missed out with the Summer Mini.

This one uses Tangerine Tango, Whisper White Cardstock and Sweet & Sour DSP with the Top Note Bigz Die, and the Word Play stamp set. I wove the DSP to add dimension to the card.

If you wish to contact me, you can email me at craftfusion@live.com.au to place an order, or ask about becoming a part of my Stampin' Up! family - I'd love to welcome you into my team.
