Gifts from Theresa - Part 2

Gifts from Theresa - Part 2 ....... so as promised, here are the other gifts I got.

A gorgeous Explosion Box with Cake mix and Frosting and Recipe instructions.
I get to use the box as a Christmas Scrap book - how cool is that!
Speaking of cool, check out all the hand cutting of the leaves design and the pearl bling added to it on the Treasure Chest.  Filled with Cup Cake patties and sprinkles for my cakes..... no, they are not purple.
We must have both been thinking of Coffee as Theresa got me an Eco Cup in the Large to Go thanks size..... hehehe..I can drink my coffee while I wait for the cakes to cook.

An Altered Journal - "I Will....." for me to use throughout the year. So nice and bright and cheerful, just Love it with my funky name on it....
And not last by the least, a great Herringbone Birthday Card and matching triangle box with, yes, chocolates!

Now really, for some reason Theresa thinks it was not enough .... seriously, I love them all and can not wait to start on our next round of swapping......

Flirtatious Mini Album

I showed you the card I made my Cousin's daughter for her Baby Shower, so now here is the Mini Album I made as her gift.

As I explained to Jess, not knowing whether she is having a daughter or a son, she can use this album for photo's of herself and bub, her sister and bub, Nana (her mum) and bub, Great Nana (her Nana) and bub on her side of the family and then either keep it herself, or give it as a gift to Nana or Great Nana as this is the first grandchild for my Cousin, and first great grandchild for my Aunt.

Four double page layout - photo on right and journal on left.
Each page is a different design.

The great thing about this album is that you can just keep adding pages......how awesome is that!

I followed the great Tutorial for this off another USWDAF round - Paper Parade, and the designer this time is Anne Marie Hile. I did not change a thing as it is just fantastic the way it is.
Now to buy some more Flirtatious DSP and make myself one.

Here is the Gift Bag I altered to hold it all in.....

Close up cause that Tatty Teddie is so darn cute !!!

I did make another card as Mum asked me to make one for her as well...... I will show that one on another post.

SSQ11 - New Years Eve

This Soul Scrappers Challenge was to use all or most of the embellishments posted out to us to create a New Years Day / Eve Layout. The only other rule was that we had to be in the photo.

Here's my LO:

Must confess that I haven't seen a New Year come in since Nathan was born .... so my LO is for New Year's Eve of Laura and myself watching the Sydney Fireworks on TV.

Must say it is fantastic seeing the other ladies (20 of us in all) LO's as we all had the same embellishments posted from Mary in USA to use. I can't wait for the next one to come around.

If you are interested in knowing more about this or a previous post, or just wanting to place an order, send me an email and I'll let you know.

Gifts from Theresa - Part 1

I had to split this into two parts as you will see that Theresa made a few dozen things for me.

What is great, is that she has Christmas, Valentines, Easter and Birthdays covered.....woo hooo got it all covered and didn't have to get sticky fingers from the glue.

How sweet is that Bunny for Easter! and I just love my purple Grinch.
For Valentines, I have a pair of gorgeous ear-rings wrapped in stamped tissue.

Soap and Candles - my craft studio has never smelt so good!!
My gorgeous Angry Bird bin is full of those great Christmas Cookie Cutters that Theresa has made into useable Tree Ornaments. Very cool.

Now I know, you are thinking, WOW that is alot of great gifts - how lucky am I.....right.....well I did call this part 1, because yes, I am lucky, plus there is more!!!!!!!

I will post part two later in the week.

Late Christmas Gift Swaps - Part 2

Here is the third gift I made Theresa - and I just have to say that I myself love it - no, not because it is full of chocolates! Hehehe, minus a couple.
I just love how elegant it looks.

With magnetic strips on the flap, you could use this as a lovely keepsake box, card holder, or of course your own chocolate stash holder.

I made this by following my favourite USWDAF Designer Tammy Maxvill's tutorial on the I Love the Holidays 2011 round. I changed the colour of the ribbon and also my sentiment, but pretty much the same otherwise. Oh, and she put cards into hers, but I put chocolates.

If you are interested in knowing more about this or a previous post, or just wanting to place an order, send me an email and I'll let you know.

Altered Hanging Frame

With Sale-A-Bration starting tomorrow, I wanted to show you another project I made using the Elementary Elegance stamp set to show you a different way to use it.

You may recall a previous post near Christmas where Theresa and I swapped cards (No Gifts!!!!!) - yes that's the one, where I received gifts but Theresa didn't, just a card.
Anyways, I got a lovely little hanging frame - and here it is altered .......

Yes, that is Concord Crush, with the saying from the You're A Gem set in Wisteria Wonder.

So the next time you see an item and decide it isn't quite your colour / style - alter it and you will be amazed at the difference. Must say I absolutely love it and as I added the curly label punch with the saying, I can slip it out and change it in a sec.

USWDAF - Freind 2 Friend Swap

I got to swap with Betty Traciak this round and seeing as Betty has now received her swap, I can show you all what I made. I was a tad nervous as Betty is one of the great Designers on Dawn's projects - lucky I had it made before I found out.
This round was to do with Scoring as the USA have the Simply Scored so our swaps had to reflect that.

Here's the card:
I had taken a photo of the inside - yes I did decorate it and an envelope, but can't find the photo.

My gift is a Telephone Message Pad Holder and Pen:

This is the open box I made to put it all in as well as two cello bags with chocolates in.

I love the Black/White/Red colour scheme and the Timeless Portrait DSP works perfectly with it.

I have used the Elementary Elegance Stamp Set which is one of the Sale A Bration sets.
Sale A Bration starts today, so now it can be your's as well - one FREE item for every $100 you spend.

If you are interested in knowing more about these or wanting to place an order, send me an email and I'll let you know.

Late Christmas Gifts Swap

So you know how fast time is going, and honestly, I just don't know where the days go some weeks.....here we are and the kids go back to school tomorrow!!!!! Goodness mine are Grade 6 and Grade 10....when did that happen!

Theresa and I decided we would make a little swap parcel for Christmas and get together and swap over coffee one day before Christmas....hehehe, yep, that happened ....well, it did yesterday......and as usual, I was given the only a couple! talk and yes, I did only make a couple....cause there is always next time .... LOL Anyway, because I was only allowed to make a few, I tried to make some that would WOW Theresa.

The first one is my Blinged up version of Cocoa The Christmas Pup on a reusable Coffee Cup.
I gave one of these to another girlfriend - would you believe that was the week after Christmas as well !!!!
Big goal next year is to do this before Christmas!!!!
Absolutely love him and will be making more this Christmas.

Second gift is an Altered 2012 Diary.... yes I know, but she still gets to use it for 11 months..hehehe

I did make a third gift - you know a couple can be three, but I will show you that one later in the week and then I will show you the couple (a dozen) Theresa made me !!!!
I guess we now know that a couple is at least 6 minimum...hehehe...

Thanks for looking,

Until next time, Happy Crafting....YCB

Project 52 - Week 3 - Create

This week I thought I would use the word Create - after all that is what we do isn't it!
Well, I like to think I do....hehehe and I am trying to be more Creative in 2012.

  • Stamp Set: Creative Elements, Sew Suite (Retired)
  • Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Night Of Navy
  • Markers: Cherry Cobbler, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Black
  • Papers: Naturals Ivory, Cherry Cobbler, Glimmer Red
  • Dies: Fun Flowers
  • Punches: 1 3/4 Circle, Itty Bitty Shapes Pack, Boho Blossoms
  • Others: Basic Jewels Pearls, Seam Binding Cherry Cobbler, Big Designer Buttons Sweet Stitches (Retired), Designer Buttons Sherbet (Retired), Bakers Twine Cherry Cobbler
You know, Sew Suite was a set I just HAD to have......another set I have only used twice before...LOL, so glad I still have it as I think it has made a perfect back for this tag.
I must say, how good does that Glimmer paper look on the spool!

LNS Challenge 165: Shaped Cards

I haven't done a Late Night Stampers Challenge for a while but with a Baby Shower to go to next weekend, this one was perfect for it.
The challenge was for a shaped card - not the usual square or rectangle, and not knowing pink or blue, Wisteria Wonder came to mind...hehehe- you all know I love purple so it clearly was the right choice for me.

  • Stamp Set: Baby Bundle
  • Inks:Wisteria Wonder
  • Papers:Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Flirtiatious Specialty DSP
  • Dies: Framelits Hearts
  • Others: 3/8 Ruffled Ribbon Wisteria Wonder, Basic Jewels Rhinestones, Dauber
As usual, my fold was just out so one side has a hinge and not the other - hence the 1/2" circle punches (had to do two so it matched). If you do it right, you won't need the punch.

I made a gorgeous Mini Album to go with it from one of the USWDAF projects, but I will post that next week.

Fathers Day - Socks

Now here is a Father's Day Card that you can easily make using the Stocking Tag Builder Punch, along with the Argyle Stocking from the matching Stitched Stockings Stamp Set.

  • Stamp Set: Stitched Stockings, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
  • Ink: Island Indigo, Melon Mambo
  • Papers: Whisper White, Island Indigo
  • Punches: Stocking Tag Builder, Word Window, Modern Label
I just love Island Indigo on a masculine card.

I added the Pink sock as we all know Dad gets at least one of those in his lifetime!! which actually made my son smile when I told him as he has already had the pale pink socks, and Dad did the washing...hehehe.

Dancer Card

Ok, so here is the first of a couple of cards I promised to show you using the Stocking Tag Builder Punch to show you how versatile it really is - not just for Christmas Stockings !!!

  • Stamp Set: Topsy-Turvy Celebration
  • Ink: Melon Mambo
  • Papers: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Pretty In Pink, Whisper White, Glimmer Silver
  • Punches:  Stocking Tag Bulider, Blossom Petals Builder, Word Window, Large Oval
  • Other: 1/4 Grosgrain Pretty In Pink
This is my version of a few different styles I have seen while Blog hopping.

I used Black as the main colour to allow the punch art to take centre stage and I think it really does make a statement.  Don't be shy in using Black, you may be comfortable with white but black just opens up a new dimension to your card.

Now if your princess or prince is into dancing, this card is just right for them.
If you haven't got your punch yet, remember it is not being carried over and once current stock is sold, it will no longer be available, even if the Mini Promotion is still running.

Until next time, Happy Crafting....YCB

Project 52 - Week 2 - Dream

So here is my second tag, and I must say I just love it!
Hehehe definitely surprised myself with this one.

  • Stamp Sets: Elementary Elegance, Extreme Elements
  • Ink: Crumb Cake, Elegant eggplant, Wisteria Wonder
  • Papers: Wisteria Wonder
  • Punches: Small Oval (Retired)
  • Other: Seam Binding Crumb Cake, Gold Embossing Powder, Gold Glow Smooch Spritz, 5/8
  • Victoria Ribbon, Distressing tool on Cutter Kit
I have used a few different techniques on this one. I have distressed the sides of the tag and also the quote words. I heat embossed the window frame with Gold Embossing powder and for something different, I used the inner cut out off the frame (from new Sale A Bration set called Elementary Elegance) as a background stamp to coordinate colour inside the frame so that "Dream" stood out.
You can't see it very well, but it has a gold glimmer all over it on both sides from using the new Gold Glow Smooch Spritz.

I love both sides of this tag equally.

Until next time, Happy Crafting....YCB

Altered Notebook

With everything I have going on at the moment, I decided that if I was to stay on track I would need a Notebook to put everything down in.

So here I have decorated a normal Notebook to write in all my Craft Challenges / Swaps and dates they are due so I can keep on top of them - and also see if I can commit to anymore that month!

I used some of our lovely fabric and of course the silver Glimmer Paper.

I just love it and now I am already up to date with this months commitments and working on next months....
