Project 52 - Week 13 - SUP!

This week has certainly been a strange week for the whole family - even the dog had an unsual day!

I decided to base my tag this week on the strange week that I can't even describe!
Here's to next week.

Wow....not one stamp was inked up for this one.

Thanks for looking,

Until next time, Happy Crafting....YCB

SAB Altered Clipboard

I just loved the Altered Clipboard I made a few weeks ago for my stepfather - so does he I am happy to say.

I have been asked to make another one with a more feminine touch to it.

I decided to use the SAB DSP as we only have 3 more days to still get it for FREE and then it shall be no more.

I placed the stamped imagine where a photo will go as I did not want to give the lady a blank section - plus it goes to show as I mentioned in my last post, you can put affamations, etc in place of photo's.

I think I will have to make another one exactly the same for myself as I really do like this one. I do have another one to make as well and have been given the freedom to chose myself, so I just may try something different again, maybe a baby one or a study one???? I do have a few weeks for that one so will try to come up with something to impress you with.

Easter Bunny Treats

Another cute Easter Bunny treat for this year I cased off Sharon Field - these really are just so cute.

Sharon put a Peppermint Patty in between hers, but I decided on a Chocolate Bunny and that helps them to stand up nicely, as you can see side on.

And here's the boys

Easter Bunnies Carrot Treat Box

Wow, almost Easter already - hard to believe but the kids are on school holidays come Friday !!!!!
Seriously, I'm surprised they learn anything given the amount of holidays they have....hehehe don't start me on that topic as they say.

I made this Easter Bunny Carrot treat box and Easter Card for Laura's teacher who happens to be male - figured he may not like a decorated handbag, etc......LOL...explain that to his wife.

I must say whilst I'm not that attracted to the new Everybunny Stamp Set, I did quite like the Every Egg wheel which I used on the card. I also glued some window sheet on the front to hold the eggs in - most I have seen on blogs have the leaves up and place the gift inside in a cello bag - thought I'd be different and use some of the gorgeous SAB ribbon as well.

Liebster Blog Award

What a lovely surprise when I got home from work today after a day I am happy is behind me.

I had been given an award by Genelle  called the Liebster Blog Award.
Woohoo, my very first Blog Award.... ☺

"What is a Liebster Blog Award?", well "Liebster" is German for "Dearest". The award is a "Share the love arrangement", given to inspirational bloggers with less than 200 followers, to bring attention to their blog, and increase their following!  I have to pick 5 more recipients whose blogs I think you would enjoy.  Pop over to see what they've done...and become a Follower.

Here's the to do list for any of the Liebster Blog Award recipients.

1. Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award.
(Thanks again Genelle)

2. Link back to the blogger who presented you the award.
(Find Genelle here)

3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.
(See the pretty award on my sidebar!)

4. Present the Award to 5 other deserving bloggers with less than 200 followers.
(Read below)

5. Let them know they have been chosen by leaving a comment on their blog.
(I suggest you visit their sites - you're going to love their blogs)

So here are my picks and I hope you get as much inspiration from them as I do:

So pop on over to these lovely ladies blogs and check out what they have been up to recently.  Don't forget to leave them a message.

Thank you again Genelle for your award and brightening what had been a horrible Monday, I really do appreciate it.

Memories Inspire Happiness

Memories Inspire Happiness - what great words !!!!!

This fortnights Scrapbook Challenge at Crafters Anonymous was "Stamping".

After picking out my photo, I went through my stamp sets and decided on Loving Thoughts, Mixed Bunch, Happy Greetings and Sweetheart - so I think I have the "Stamping" part nailed...hehehe.

That flower from the new Mixed Bunch set just pops off this page and I just love the new pleated ribbon.
LOL you don't see that pair in that pose very often these days.....and as Nathan asked - what was Laura looking at, my guess would be the TV !!!!

Easter Bags

Just a quick short post today.....Mary Fish had a tutorial on her blog for these gorgeous bags so I decided to make a couple for Easter.

How cute are they - I have used the new roller stamp Every Egg and last years retired Easter Blossoms.

CA Fancy Fold Flower Card

It's been a while since I have been able to attend our online classes at Crafters Anonymous, but last Monday I was able to do it and was so glad I did.
How awesome is this Fancy Fold Flower Card that Anne taught us to make.

I got to use my SAB DSP one more time.....just love this paper.
Here's my insert

What an awesome card this would be to give your Mum just to say "Thanks for all you do!"

Project 52 - Week 12 - Reflections

This week I chose Reflection for my word on my tag.

Hehehe, I even ventured out and did some journalling on the back.

This year really is going fast, or is it just me! All I know is I was going to do so much and have barely done anything!
I have definitely fallen in love with Marci stamps and colouring her.
I know I have gotten better using my markers and blender pen.
The one used here is Darling Marci.

CC2 - Just Because

Our 2nd Card Challenge at Soul Scrappers was "Spring Like" and our inspiration was from a gorgeous photo provided.

Here is my card

I decided to have a play with my punches - not my normal style but I am happy with how it turned out.
If you don't know me well, and haven't noticed, I don't really do flowers, but I am trying to learning!

SC49 - Stalker

I know this may sound like a strange title, but it is exactly what Bee Jay does to the cat next door.

Poor Abbey - the only time we hear Bee Jay bark is when he spots Abbey in her backyard - happy to say she just totally ignores him....hehehe, just like a woman.

How cute is Bee Jay ...... I had to take his photo for him to move so I could take the photo of the page.

I am so pleased with this page and I think I now can say I am a Scrapbooker .....hehehe, I hope.

Grrrrrrr

Ok, I have tried for 3 days now to upload photo's onto my blog - to no avail !!!!!

Frustration is a polite word to use....hehehe, the worst part is that I never added / deleted / altered anything on my computer to make this happen!

Thought I would let you know that I am still around and crafting, and if I can keep my sanity and patience, once I work out what is wrong, I will be posting again.

If you sign up to the left for the emails, you will get a blog update once the next post is posted - saves coming back to see my tag - thank goodness it's a great tag or that would be sad....   :-(

Project 52 - Week 11 - Hope

This week's tag is Hope - I am working towards to few goals this year in both my personal and professional life and my Hope is that I am on the right track to succeed.

I guess there are many things we Hope for, but if we don't actually do something about it, we will only ever have hope and not achieve what we can if only we tried and put some effort into it.

SAB 3 x 3 Note Cards

Ok, are you tired of seeing all things SAB ?????
I will try to make this my last post - but I can not promise .... hehehe!
You know me, I may just see something I like that has to be made using it!

These are the 3 x 3 Note Cards I made for my MIL for her Birthday in a few weeks time.

How cute are they !!!!!

I got the tutorial off Robin Merriman's website and used a different sheet from the SAB DSP and also changed my Note Cards.

In case you may be wondering , I put the Thank You instead of Happy Birthday on the holder so my MIL can use it to re-gift.
The Note cards are blank so they can be used for any occasion that arises.

Another SAB Birthday Card

I have seen so many cards on peoples blog's featuring the new punch in the upcoming Autumn-Winter Mini, that I had to have a go with the SAB DSP.
This way you can still get this versatile DSP ready for next month when you can get your punch.....

I hope you like my version of it. I had actually made this for my Birthday Card Swap Group I am in, but decided that being in March, the lady to receive it would only have a few days to show it as the DSP would then be retired, so I have made her a different card using some of the upcoming products.

SAB Christmas Cards

Now it really is never to early to start your Christmas Cards.

In the case of using the SAB DSP, now is the perfect time as you only have this month left to get any more if you want to use it on your Christmas Cards.

Here are two cards I made while playing around with it - I just love this DSP so much that I have made sure I have a stash of it in my craft room - and of course the co-coordinating ribbon / brad pack.

How stunning is the Poppy Parade !!!
I have used Baja Breeze on the embossing frame for a deeper blue than Pool Party, but imagine it would work just as nicely.

SAB Cards

Still having a play with the Sale-A-Bration DSP  -  Everyday Enchantment - I just love it!
I am also using the Ribbon & Brad SAB Pack as well.

And using the Candy Wrapper Big Shot Die - how adorable are these to put little gifts or chocolates in.

These cards were inspired by the many I have seen on Pintrest and various blogs I have visited so I can't really give credit to just one person as such.

Friends Jar

I thought I would have a go at embossing on a round jar - I know, everyone says you can't do it well because of the curve right!

Well, I got to thinking, and I decided that because Stampin' Up! do the clear mount stamps they have the flexibility that wooden ones don't, so should be rather easy - and yes, they are.

I used Cherry Cobbler embossing powder on the Friends and white embossing powder on the new upcoming flower stamp and think it came up great.

Now the hardest part is to decide which Friend to give it to !!!

Project 52 - Week 10 - Celebrate

This weeks tag I used the word Celebrate for Laura's 11th birthday - Legs Eleven already (appropriate as she is tall).

On the front, I have embossed in gold and on both front and back, you will notice on the close up that I have sprayed with a Gold Smooch Shimmer Spray mix.

It is hard to tell, but the cake and candles are also embossed with Cherry Cobbler and Mambo Melon powders.

SAB Birthday Card

Here's a Birthday Card I made for my MIL using the SAB Everyday Enchantment DSP.

She will be turning 84 this year, and I just love the brightness of the Poppy Parade with the elegant look to the paper - added with the Velvet ribbon.

Such a simple card to make but one that certainly makes a statement.
I am in the middle of making some note cards for her which I will post another day when finished.
