  2. 2 Reindeer's
  3. 3 Colours (Red, Green,Kraft)
  4. 4 Patterned Papers
  5. 5 Sparkly jewel (9 pearls)...

The rub on the tag says " Christmas may be many things or it may be a few. For you, the joy is each new toy, for me it's watching you.

The photo is of my brothers and I in 1968 - what about that poor looking tree! hehehe you should see the television just behind Shayne to the right that I cut off - talk about large! and only black and white!
OK enough of the history lesson - isn't it great looking back at the old photo's - I have been going through some in preparation for Jane's Childhood Memories classes starting soon at Soul Scrappers - not a member yet? click on the link to the right and to join up and then join me in the fun.
I look forward to welcoming you to our great group.

CC11 - Gone to the Beach

In amongst all the Christmas gifts and card making, Jen had us make a card with the theme being "Beachy".
Great to have a break from Christmas things - I do love them, but also the thought of chilling out by the beach was welcome too!

Here's what I ended up creating........

A bit stormy looking I know, LOL, that's what happens when you start with what you thought was light and turned out not....quite like the end result anyway.

SU Christmas Gifts from Theresa 2012

If you are a regular visitor to my blog, you would know that Theresa and myself send each other gifts and have swaps between ourselves.

I sent Theresa just a couple of gifts this year - didn't tell her and tried to leave it as late as I could to surprise her! Anyway, needless to say she did get them and managed to send me some in return that arrived Friday just in time for Christmas!

A box of 3 Christmas Angles for the tree in a handmade box and gorgeous tags

The box on the left has Maltesers in it and the slide out box to the right
did have 3 Roses Chocolates in it ..LOL...I create better with chocolate!

Hot Chocolate mix and Candy Cane stirrer - such a cute gift!

Love them all - I really do love getting homemade gifts and I sure have got a lot this year!
It really is nice to know that someone has gone to the effort to create a little treasure for you.

Now I did miss out on sending one of my gifts to Theresa as it was drying, so I guess I have to send another gift her way!

Fresher Blog

Ok, so with some changes coming my way in 2013, I thought after a few years, it was time to revisit my Blog and go for a more simple look and feel.

I quite like the freshness of it and I am even going to have a go at doing my own blog header....hehehe, bet you can't wait for that! It will be fun to have a go at, althought it won't be for a few months yet as I have to get stuck into my studies and that means I may blog just a little less, or not, guess time will tell on that score.

Anyway, I hope you like the new look and here's to moving forward in 2013!

FS2S - Christmas

Wow, two posts in one day!

Here is my entry for this month's From Screen 2 Scrap layout.
Based on the movie poster "This Christmas", has to have red card stock, tearing and a family Christmas photo.

Ok, so no points for only the kids in the photo, but how cute is that Santa! He is sitting inside the Photo Continental store at Mt Gravatt - just had to pop in there on Saturday before Christmas for some great clearance specials - as you do right!
Figured I wouldn't embarress the kids, but seeing as Laura said how cute he was, took the op to say "just stand beside it quickly and I'll take your pic"......LOL....one of the ladies on the floor gave me a strange look when she asked if I need any help and I repied "no, just going to take the kids photo next to your Santa"......I mean seriously, you are never too old to have your photo taken with Santa!

My printer is just about out of colour ink and I figured the pale look it came out was great as it gives it a vintage feel like the Santa in the pic!

ESAD Mystery Box Swap - Part 2

Did you like what I made for Corrina in my Mystery Box Swap?

You will love what I received from the talented Leonie Schroder - such a talented and generous lady.

Wowers - how lucky was I !!!!!

I have already recreated some Christmas items - just love it all and feel very blessed to have Leonie make these for me. I sure hope that Corrina felt the same way when she went through my box.

ESAD Mystery Box Swap - Part 1

Over on the ESAD facebook group, I was a part of the Mystery Box Swap.

We are given 12 months to create certain projects to put in a decorated box and swap with another member. There is an item/s for each month. You can do them all in one go, or pace yourself over 12 months doing a bit here and there. The main theme is to pick a DSP and then co-ordinate your project with this and the co-ordinating products. We found out in late October who we were sending our boxes to, and to keep the mystery going until it was received, it wasn't going to the person who was sending you yours!

Here are the goodies I created - must apologise for the long post as I didn't take a group shot...doh, next time I will.

January - Decorated box (I actually did this in October when all completed)
Box full of goodies ready to be sent
 February - 4 assorted cards

March - A covered notebook plus family recipe
April - Easter inspired card or gift box
May - A bag or tote
June - Bookmark and Post-it Note

July - Small gift container with bits and bobs
August - 6 pieces of 6x6 DSP / Cardstock in theme
September - 5 Assorted Gift Cards
October - Food / Chocolate container

 November - Handmade Christmas Decoration
 December - 3 Christmas Cards

Must say I enjoyed making these and trying to create within the DSP and colours - Easter was my hardest and then the 3 Christmas Cards!

Anyway, Corinna recieved it ok and is happy with my results - always a bit of a worry! and I will show you the gorgeous box I got from Leonie tomorrow.

Bee Jay's Christmas Gift Giving

Bee Jay has his Christmas Social Party today - hehehe, us humans were invited too!

Seeing as Chocolate is not allowed for the greyhounds, that meant no plum puddings for them....I got some Kangaroo Treat sticks from the Vets and wrapped a gorgeous bow around them and added a cute tag.
After all, they deserve presents too right!

I think they turned out great.....yes, I know, they will have no idea - but it's the thought that counts.

QC18 - Christmas 2001 Spa

Libby picked a great Christmas Quote for us to use in our layouts this time round .

After a hectic hot Christmas day, Mum had a relaxing spa with Nathan and Laura to unwind.
This was Laura's first Christmas as she was only 9 months old and Nathan 3 years.
My, where does the time go! Such a shame Mum moved and doesn't have the spa anymore.

Got to use my loved Glimmer paper!

2013 Altered Diary

It has become tradition that every year, I buy my Step Father a diary.
A plain one was acceptable, and still is, however, an altered one is always greeted with a bit more enthusiasm!

So whilst this year I have been busy, I made sure I altered Geoff's A4 Diary before I wrapped it up.

You all know that I loved the notebook we made at Convention, so here is another version of it based on the same cover. Just love the new in-colors!

SLC16 - Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

Shazza choose a great Christmas song for our Song Lyric Challenge.

We had hubby's family gathering on Sunday and of course I had to take some family pic's - LOL, they have all got used to me now when I get the camera out.

I choose to do a digital layout and love the glimmer background page!

This is hubby with his sister, mother and one brother - we had just done the shuffle to the left and right to line up in the door frame when someone said to close the door - so they all looked behind them!
I love those off the moment photo's as it reminds you of the day and the antics.

And I just had to show you my dessert - the infamous puddings! Told you everyone was getting them this year!
