Betty's Birthday Card

I haven't had much time of late to create, but I did manage to create this lovely Birthday Card for Betty who turned 78 today.

I wiped ink over the honeycomb embossing to have it pop out a bit without having to mat it.
I added the "B" to personalise the card as well.

Little Friends Birthday Card

I made this card for one of my Mum's friends in England.

You would have noticed the "chalkboard" technique making it's rounds on blogs everywhere at the moment....this is my take in that I used Craft White ink minus the chalk puffs for a clearer picture- great if you are not into colouring in.

I just love this image - you would have seen it before where I have coloured the image.

Thank You Card

How nice is the ribbon you get for FREE during SAB  at Stampin' Up!

I have used the Tangerine Tango Satin Ribbon on this card and it has come up a treat I must say.

This card was so quick and easy to create using some of our new products.
I also used the new Petite Butterfly Punch for the gorgeous butterflies sitting on one of the new doily's and a pearl on each to set them off.

ATC - Kisses

As you know, I regularly participate in the Soul Scrappers ATC swaps - this year is no exception.

Our first swap for the year is themed Valentines and here is my swap entitled Kisses.

I got this cute Magnolia stamp at the craft show well before Christmas and never got around to using her.

Doesn't she look so angelic. I used some Crystal Effects to highlight her eyes a bit, and my Stampin' Up! and Copic markers to colour her in.

To Know You is to Love You

So last month was my last Stampin' Up! Card Challenge at Soul Scrappers....a bit sad, but, I have taken over Jen's General Card Challenge.
Now this is a challenge for me as I have to put a lot more thought into it, but on the up side, hopefully more  people will join in as it's not as limited for them.

Anyways, my first Challenge is to revisit our Embellishment Kits and create a card using your left overs.

Here is a card I created using my left over Dear Santa Embellishment Kit with - absolutely nothing to do with Christmas at all.

Now you would not know by looking at it that the embellishments were from a Christmas Kit would you!

Hope you can join in my challenge and use up some of your stash as I have done.

GDT4 Carousel

Mandy Dodd is our Design Team Guest Member at Soul Scrappers this Month and she has us creating a Background for our Layout.

I had a lot of fun with this challenge and tried a variety of things.

I stamped directly onto the Newsprint DSP and and put a thin layer of Mod Podge on it to give it some shine, and of course a pearl for it's bud.
I also fussy cut some flowers from retired DSP and used the Sliver Sparkling Dazzling Details to bling it up with a pearl bud.

Do you notice the lace and the flower? They are from the Artisan Embellishments Kit and I also used a few Paper Doilies as well and inked them to match my layout.

And of course on of the stamps from the Sale A Bration Catalogue.

Phew - got to use quite a few new products and some items from my stash.

Absolutely love how it turned out and can see me playing some more.

SSAJ2 God's Work of Art

The technique Joy is teaching us this month is Collage.

I had some fun with some scrap hearts and strips I had in my scraps folder - you just never know what you can create with all those scraps! Even better that I got to use up some of last years papers.

I put Gesso over the top for the white wash effect and then stamped some imagines over it and rubbed some ink on the edges. Oh, and notice the pinwheel - so easy with the Sizzix die now.

The saying is from the Trust God set which is the same one I used in my last post.

SSQ15 - Love You

Every couple of months we have a Soul Scrappers Quest where we are all given the same embellishments and have to create a project using them. It is so interesting to see all the different projects everyone comes up with using the same items.

This time was Mary's turn, and she also gave us a theme of "Valentines Day" which is appropriate giving the embellishments we got.

Anyway, here is my layout that I completed by using all the pieces given.

How cute is that dress! I used the new Dress Up framelits to cut the mannequin from cardstock and the dress from the piece of lace fabric Mary supplied.

Trust God SAB Note Card Set

I wanted to make some cute Note Cards using the Trust God stamp set, so thought I would combine this with the gorgeous new SAB DSP.

The cute criss-cross box is from the instruction give by Tanya Bell, she is one amazingly talented Aussie demo. You will see she has used the SAB DSP as well as one of the SAB stamp sets.

Here is the inside which have the sayings stamped on them

Aren't they just the cutest 3x3 note cards!

When I punched out the butterfly on the DSP for the front, I decided the punched butterfly would make a great embellishment by themselves on the front of the envelope. So quick and easy to make!
