Polkadoodles is now Sponsoring this Challenge Blog and as such, some of us team members will be doing a Guest Designer spot to help showcase the ways you can use the images in your Mixed Media projects.
SO, I made a canvas for you using Ula's Life Don't Listen black & white digi and the sentiment from Ula's Life Be Strong.
I had some inky fun making the background of the canvas.
Firstly I coloured Ula with my copic markers and cut her with my scan n cut machine with my usual border. Hmmmm no, would look better cut to the edge, so hand fussy cutting it was!.
Ok, so now onto the canvas.
I used my Gelli Plate with paints and stencils to create and muck up and mix a background....I'm not kidding, LOL, a few choice words and more paint added.....the phrase "you just couldn't leave it could you" came to mind on a few occasions. Anyways, isn't that part of the learning journey.
Once the paint was dry, I added texture paste with stencils. The bottom left I have added some blue and green glitter (yes I know, even in real life it's hard to see!!!!!) but you can see it. The top right has transparent paste with yellow airbrush paint mixed through so you can still see through it a bit but have a vibrant colour.
Next I added some flying birds in the top left corner with navy paint and a stencil and a few wood strips on the bottom left using the same navy paint and one of my rubber stamps.
LOL, if you follow my blog, you would know I am still learning this Mixed Media, so yes, I'm proof you can do it to!
Ok, nearly done - just die cut the saying with a nice tag and add a metal flower and then a glitter enamel dot to the centre.
I hope I have inspired you, if not, at least entertained you with my efforts.
